TO PLACE AN ORDER: Please contact me by email at JohnMoranPhoto@gmail.com or by phone (352.514.7670) for further information or to place an order. Working from my home studio in Gainesville, I generally fill orders quickly when I'm not traveling.
I print my photos on heavyweight fine art paper using Epson archival inks. My framing style features hand-torn deckled edges with a floating mat presentation using off-white matboard. I use premium brushed metal frames from Nielsen's Florentine Silver collection, as shown in the sample photo above. My photos make memorable awards and presentation gifts. Personalized inscription cards, printed on marbled paper as shown below, are priced at $15.
My complete Florida photo collection is also available at Sweetwater Picture Framing (www.SweetwaterPictureFraming.com) at 2036 NW 6th Street in Gainesville. Owner Dan Randall offers a wide range of custom framing options, including diploma frames featuring my University of Florida campus or alligator photos. Shop hours ordinarily are Tuesday-Friday 10-5, Saturday through Monday by appointment. I suggest you call ahead at 352.373.5745 to confirm the shop is open.
A selection of my photos is also available for sale at Rum 138 Gallery in Fort White, and the Harn Museum of Art gift shop on the campus of the University of Florida.

Books
Journal of Light: The Visual Diary of a Florida Nature Photographer
Hardcover, 128 pages. 77 photographs, 36 essays.
Published by University Press of Florida
About the book, one critic writes,"...a reminder of Florida's enormous capacity for natural majesty; it's a remarkable souvenir of the mystique of a rare place... Moran's essays resonate with an honesty and compassion that fully inform the art behind the photographic technique. His words express a sensibility that is as authentic as it is admirable... [A] subjective ode of wonder and affection and art."
This collection of images and essays are highlights from Moran's odyssey to discover the soul of one of the most photographed states in the country, and features Moran's well-known photographs of the alligators, beaches, birds, rivers, springs, trees, turtles and flowers that make Florida the amazing place we call home.
Signed and personally inscribed copies of Journal of Light are priced at $34.95.
Finding Yourself: A Spiritual Journey Through a Florida Garden
poem by Bill Maxwell, former columnist for the Tampa Bay Times.
Softcover, 48 pages. 39 photographs.
Published by Bok Tower Gardens
In seven visits over three years, John Moran joyfully photographed one of America's great botanical treasures. Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales is a place of deep spiritual refuge, crowned by a magnificent 200-foot tall Gothic Revival carillon tower. The photos are artfully interweaved with a beautiful poem by Bill Maxwell, columnist for the Tampa Bay Times.
Signed and personally inscribed copies of Finding Yourself are priced at $20.
